Each design you create in Subframe is a page. When you open the editor, you see one page at a time. To navigate between pages without leaving the editor, open the Pages tab in the left panel. All the pages in the project are listed here where you can search for, switch between, reorder, and create new pages.

Creating a new page

To create a new page from the editor:

  1. Click thePages tab in the left panel.

  2. Click the + button.

  3. Select a template for your new page or start from scratch.

New pages are added to the top. You can also duplicate an existing page, which will create a copy below the current one.

Reordering pages

You can change the order of pages to create flows or reorganize your pages.

  1. Click thePages tab in the left panel.

  2. Hover over a page to see the drag handles.

  3. Drag and drop a page to reorder.

The order you set in the Pages tab of the editor will be shown when you browse all Pages.

Previewing page flows

You can create simple prototypes in Subframe by navigating between your pages in preview. All your pages are part of a single flow and you can switch between them in order.

  1. Click thePages tab in the left panel.

  2. Click on the icon to open preview mode from the first page.

    1. Alternatively, you can click the Preview button in the top-right of the editor to start the preview from the current page.

  3. Navigate between pages by clicking the left and right arrows in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Click on the X icon or hit esc on your keyboard to exit preview.

The preview toolbar will hide after a few seconds of mouse inactivity. Simply move your mouse again to show it or use keyboard shortcuts to navigate.
