Projects let you work on different apps from one Subframe account. Each project contains its own theme, custom components, and page designs. Projects let you easily work with multiple clients, separate work from personal projects, or just try out new ideas.

Note: Projects are currently shared with everyone on your team, so all team members will be able to view and edit them. If you are the only member on your team and you join a new team, all of your projects will be moved to the new team.

Create a new project

A default project is created when you first join Subframe. To create a new one:

  1. Click on the Project Switcher in the top-left of the nav.

  2. Select + New project.

  3. Type the name of your project.

  4. Click Create to close the modal and switch to your new project.

Alternatively, you can navigate to your Project Settings and click + New.

Rename a project

If you need to rename your project, you can do so from your Project Settings.

  1. Click on your User Avatar in the top-right of the nav.

  2. Select Manage projects from the menu.

  3. Click on the Edit icon.

  4. Type the new name for your project.

  5. Click Save to close the modal.

Delete a project

To delete a project, go to your Project Settings.

  1. Click on your User Avatar in the top-right of the nav.

  2. Select Manage projects from the menu.

  3. Click on the Delete icon.

  4. Click Delete in the modal to confirm.

Deleting a project will delete the theme, all components, and all pages you've designed. This cannot be undone.

Moving between projects

It's not currently possible to move your components or designs between projects.
